McAllister and Davis team up for seminar series on Colorado medical and recreational marijuana rules

With the new regulations, new taxes, and many other new rules coming into effect over the next few months, I've teamed up with attorney Lauren Davis to conduct seminars on the new medical and recreational marijuana rules. Subject: NEW REGS in EFFECT!

Hi all.  I hope you are doing great and are getting excited for January 1 !!

For those of you who are not aware, the MED has issued new regulations for medical centers, as well as regulations to govern  recreational centers.  Both sets of regs went into effect last week.  The new medical regs change critical topics, like patient sign up, packaging and record keeping, that you need to know. 

Sean McAllister and I will be hosting a client seminar to update you on what you need to know under the new medical rules AND the new rec rules.  For example, What do you need to do when you register new patients?    What do you need to do when hiring or firing employees?  What reports must be sent to the MED under the new rules?  What are your duties and obligations when the MED or law enforcement stops by your place of business?  What information must be on the labels of recreational vs medical MIPS you sell?  What reports must the business maintain on premises and for how long, and much more.

The sessions will be held on two dates for your convenience.  The first is scheduled for 10 am on Saturday November 16.  The second at 7:30 PM on Wednesday Nov 20.  We expect each to last 2-3 hours.  You only need to attend one.  We will update you with the location once we have an idea of head count/how much space we need.  Both sessions will be held in Denver.

The sessions will cost $250 per individual or $1000 per Center for up to 8 employees.

We will have a handbook available for purchase that summarizes the rules and what you need to know.  That way, when an employee has a question about manifesting product or new patient sign up or what information needs to be on your labels, they can flip to the tab in the book and get a clear, easy to understand summary of the procedures to use and rules they need to know.

Also, as a reminder, MITS training is underway.  You should register for your training session ASAP at mymits.com   Every Center must be using MITS by Jan 1, 2014.  Any Center not using MITS will not receive a recreational license.  You also will be subject to fines and/or suspension/ and/or license revocation if you do not enter your medical inventory into MITS by then.
