Alright Sean, the time is near!  The International Drug Policy Reform conference is ONLY ONE WEEK AWAY!

This conference is the leading gathering in the world of people who believe the war on drugs is doing more harm than good. Attendees will spend three days learning the most cutting edge drug policy reform policies, practices, and innovations while interacting with people committed to finding alternatives to the war on drugs.

The program features more than 50 panel discussions, with local, national and international speakers covering a wide range of issues including marijuana law reform, criminal justice, health, harm reduction, movement building and much more!

If you haven’t done so yet, there is still time to register today!

Also, several of our community partners have organized community sessions to explore CO-specific issues more in depth and network with other advocates from across the country!  Check out the full listing of community sessions within the program book (beginning on page 36)!  Special thanks for all your hard work in organizing these sessions goes out to the American Friends Service Committee of Colorado, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Colorado Syringe Access Providers, Harm Reduction Coalition, National Cannabis Industry Association, NAACP Regional Conference, Hartcore, and Vicente Sederberg LLC.

There is a lot going on outside of the conference as well!

If you are in the Denver Area lunchtime Thursday the 24th, join us for a Victory March and Block Party from 1-2:30 pm.  The march up the 16th St. Mall will begin at 1 pm at the Downtown Sheraton and meet for the party at Skyline Park (between 15th and 16th)! Lunch is provided so there is no excuse not to come out for the celebration.

Or if the evenings are more to your liking join Dr. Carl Hart and the Harm Reduction Action Center on Friday evening at Chloe Denver for a silent auction and fundraiser.  Tickets are $45 in advance and $60 at the door.  You can register here to support this great organization.

Can’t wait to see you all so soon!

Best, Laura
